After leaving a job in web design / ecommerce, Glen returned to his first love - teaching, and was shocked by the standard of IT "know-how" that teachers have to deal with on a daily basis.  From the PGCE course, through to the schools that he has taught at, Glen soon came to realise that the education sector is still operating round about 1999.

Sure, schools have ICT departmens, use data loggers and interactive white boards are almost commonplace.  What is conspicuous by its absence however is a general knowledge, understanding and familiarity with ICT by teachers themselves.

Looking round for teacher friendly web hosts - ie cheap, with the applications that teachers use already installed, Glen was surprised to find that few were available.  Sure, you can pay £20 per month for hosting and get all the packages you want  -- but what about a £15 per year, stripped back to what's useful deal.
